About four and a half years later, having just become established with the New Brunswick Department of Agriculture Provincial Veterinary Service, God called Andy to full time Christian ministry. Trying to balance a busy life in veterinary practice, his wife's health concerns and a toddler (their wonderful son, Anson) with part time studies was difficult. Four years later, Andy left full time practice to attend Acadia Divinity College to earn his Master of Divinity. During his studies, he served as the pastor at small rural church near the university.
Following graduation Andy was called to be one of the pastors at a large suburban church in Moncton New Brunswick, where he was ordained. Most recently, Andy left a full time ministry position in the area and decided to pursue full time studies at Acadia Divinity College again. He will be attempting to improve his Greek language skills while writing an academic paper about how we can better the church. His plans are to make application to complete a PhD to enhance his ability to do what God has called him to do - to teach the Church to be the Church.
Andy feels pastoring at FaithWalk is exciting because he has partnered with a great group of people who are already convinced that the body of Christ (the Church) is empowered by the Spirit of God, guided by the Word of God and encouraged by the others in the community of God. They agree that when we relate more wholly one to another, our proclamation of the good news of Jesus Christ will have ever increasing credibility and influence in the lives of others. He is enthused and prayerfully anticipating all that God has for FaithWalk as he and his family love, serve and enjoy this community.
Andy is passionately devoted to Jesus, his family and the body of Christ, the Church. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, road biking and photography.
